It was a big hitting edition of this week’s Monday night Raw as Goldberg who returned at Survivor Series, appeared on the show to join forces with Roman Reigns with the PPV favourite- Royal Rumble slowing approaching. We got to witness the debut episode of ‘The Kevin Owens Shows’ yet it wasn’t what KO expected as it quickly spiralled out control when Chris Jericho, KO’s tag team partner once again stole the spotlight by announcing his entry for the upcoming Royal Rumble. Also, the legend that is Goldberg soon made his presence felt, and went face to face with Roman Reigns only to switch targets and both Goldberg and Reigns speared the gigantic being Braun Strowman to the ground. Braun Strowman, who could be a good bet to win the Rumble; has been rather confident in regards to his chance of winning the event, yet it was short-lived after Goldberg and Reigns were through with him.
Before Strowman was tackled to the ground, he won a last man standing match against recent-ongoing rival Sammy Zayn but his celebrating was short lived once Goldberg arrived.
Momentum is slowly kicking in
January is dedicated to the Royal Rumble- one of best and exciting pay per views on the WWE calendar and the build-up for this event is clearly submerging to the surface. US champion Reigns had successfully defending his title against ever present Chris Jericho, purely because Y2J was more focused on getting the champion disqualified. Things didn’t go well for his ‘best friend’ either as Owens, whose night was spoiled despite the airing of his own show, because of his lost to bitter rival Seth Rollins via disqualification.
Elsewhere on the show, Karl Anderson managed to beat Cesaro and across the cruiserweight division there was a tag team match up involving Drew Gulak & TJ Perkins who clocked a win over Cedric Alexander and Brian Kendrick. Keeping with the Tag Team action, after announcing their entry into the Royal Rumble, former Tag Champions The New Day we interrupted by Titus O’Neill who offered to join forces with the longest reigning Tag Team Champions, however, he was quickly pin by Xavier Woods.
Things are looking promising for the new drafted Diva Bayley. Having recently been drafted to the WWE from feeder show NXT, she is now No .1 contender for the Women’s championship having beaten the power house that is Nia Jax. With that said, she has a big task on her hands as Women’s champion Charlotte is yet to lose a match at a PPV event so this could be an interesting affair. Other than that, there is sure to be huge amounts of build-up leading to the Royal Rumble and as it stands, on Ladbrokes we have:
The Undertaker 2/1
Finn Balor 3/1
Chris Jericho 7/2
John Cena 5/1
These are the current odds in regards to the wrestler who is to be victorious at the Rumble. If you think you have a better indication in regards to who will win it, then get on the Best Deal Casino site and click on their specific WWE page and let’s see if you can predict the winner.
